How to arrange tooth removal in Logan

Tooth removal can be a scary concept, especially if you’re already uncomfortable with visiting the dentist or have a fear of the chair. However, sometimes extraction can be the best solution for your teeth. This procedure can prevent the worsening of issues, treat pain, and ensure the rest of your teeth stay healthy.

At Crestmead Dental, we keep tooth removal as a last resort wherever possible, but when it is necessary, we take the fear factor out of the process with gentle, experienced staff, state-of-the-art equipment, and relaxing options for nervous patients.

Do you need a tooth extracted?

One of the most common reasons for tooth removal is wisdom tooth eruption. Some adults have no problems with their wisdom teeth, but many of us experience things like partial eruption leading to difficulties with cleaning, and even severe pain. If you’re struggling with wisdom tooth eruption, the sooner you see a dentist, the less likely you are to face long-term consequences.

But other reasons are not always straight-forward, and every patient’s circumstances are different. This is why we make sure to discuss your options thoroughly before deciding on extraction. Things like crowding, broken teeth, serious infections, or late-stage gum disease will necessitate a more complicated plan of action, and may result in tooth removal.
